This fully mature, luscious red, a blend of Grenache (80%), Carignan (10%) and Mourvèdre (10%), comes from the high slopes of the village. Ruby red in color – indicating additional ageability – this tank and partially barrel aged red offers aromas of black plum, preserved cherries, and licorice, which are ripe and luscious. Savory notes of garrigue make up the background. The palate is medium to full bodied where the preserved cherries and licorice take center stage. Long, savory, crisp and fully mature, this is a killer discovery from the cellars of one of the top producers of the village. PSWC
