Vailia Esh isn't afraid to mess with tradition, often to stellar results, and this blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Barbera is an interesting example. Aromas of blackberry Popsicle, rosemary and dried lavender lead into a palate of violets and ripe blueberry. It's unique, but not quite as successful as her other blends.
