A project by famed Japanese sommelier, Koji NAKADA, from vines sourced from a head spinning 22 appellations, the Lou Dumont label is based in Gevrey Chambertin and yields some of the most inspired wines of our time. This Bourgogne is pale gold in color and smells like a great Meursault, with that roasted hazelnut and super concentrated orange zest character. That this is labelled simply as Bourgogne is doing this wine a disservice. The palate is super impressive! Medium to full bodied, round, voluptuous, perfectly balanced, with that roasted hazelnut character coming through from the nose. Just a striking example of what this young sommelier is capable of achieving. Outstanding. PSWC
